NCOC is committed to manage its business in a manner that protects the safety and health of all workers and personnel, the environment where we operate, and Company assets.
We will systematically manage our risks and maintain continuous improvement until we are recognised as a leader in HSE performance. All in compliance with the North Caspian Sea Production Sharing Agreement, national and international legislation and regulations, with applicable industry standards and Corporate directives.

NCOC, Agents and all NCSPSA entities recognise that Health, Safety, and Environment Management is of the highest importance to successful business performance. As organisations and individuals it is our policy and commitment to:

  • Manage our business protecting the health and safety of all employees and other personnel involved directly or indirectly to our activities, the environment where we operate, and our assets.
  • Manage our business and associated risks in compliance with the North Caspian Sea Production Sharing Agreement, national and international legislation and regulations, and apply best applicable industry standards where laws and regulations does not exist.
  • Create a visible and active Health, Safety and Environment involvement with a culture in which all employees and services providers are co-responsible on the Health, Safety and Environment performance and lead by example.
  • Develop and share systems that facilitate the systematic assessment of all Health, Safety and Environment risks in all phases of our activities and implement suitable controls to manage them.
  • Develop, measure, audit, and communicate with Agents, Authorities, and other Stakeholders our Health, Safety and Environment performance and systems as to ensure continuous improvement.
  • Select industrial and business partners on the basis of their ability to meet or exceed our Health, Safety and Environment commitments.
  • Implement systems and procedures to respond quickly and effectively in the event of unplanned and undesirable events and tested regularly.
  • Be conscious of our personal responsibility giving due consideration to the prevention of risks of accident, harm to health and environmental damage.
  • Work with both the Kazakhstan authorities and stakeholders to develop regulations and standards that improve the health and safety of employees and the environment.
  • Adopt a constructive attitude based on open dialogue with stakeholders and outside parties, achieving the acceptability of our activities in host communities through its social engagement.
