Atyrau, 30 November 2017: North Caspian Operating Company N.V. (NCOC) hosted a formal ceremony in Zhumysker village, Atyrau Oblast, to hand over a new Cultural Club to local authorities, that was built by the Company as part of its SIP Program. The ceremony was attended by local creative community, Akimat executives and NCOC representatives.

Residents of Zhumysker village, Atyrau Oblast, received the long-awaited gift on the eve of the festive season. NCOC has built here a new Cultural Club for 200 seats. The two-storeyed building of the new temple of art includes administrative and technical areas, a large auditorium, a spacious stage, requisite, dressing rooms, a library and a ticket office. The technical support is also covered – there are control, sound and lighting panels, a club room and an art workshop on the second floor.

The necessary utility and auxiliary spaces – a boiler house and a transformer substation – are provided in the Cultural Club. The area around is fully landscaped. Zhagpar Yegizbayev, Head of Stakeholder Relations, noted: "our Company continues to build cultural, health and education establishments in the most diverse areas of Atyrau and Mangystau regions, where assistance in construction of infrastructure projects is needed. Now, this new Cultural Club built by NCOC provides an excellent platform for club activities, performances by creative teams and preservation of cultural identity of the pre-Caspian region”.

To date, the volume of direct investments under Kashagan Project aimed at improvement of the quality of local population life exceeds 500 mln US dollars. A number of social projects are under development or construction, and the Consortium closely cooperates with Akimats to complete and handover important social facilities including projects on gasification, electrification and water supply, construction of roads, schools, kindergartens and hospitals.
