NORTH CASPIAN CONSORTIUM CONSTRUCTED A NEW DORMITORY FOR PUBLIC SECTOR OFFICIALS IN AKTAU

Aktau, 29 August 2017: North Caspian Operating Company B.V. (NCOC) congratulated Mangystau Oblast residents with the Constitution Day and coincided with this holiday presentation of the new 500 beds dormitory in Shygys-1 micro district in Aktau.

The Consortium handed over the new five-storey dormitory for 500 beds to Mangystau Oblast Department of Employment and Social Programs Coordination.  The building consists of three blocks and has living rooms for two/three people on all storeys, rest rooms and linen rooms. In addition, lunch rooms, working premises, locker rooms, store rooms, conference rooms and winter garden are provided for residents.  Rooms have balconies and enough space for comfortable living.  The facility putting into service will help to reduce the criticality of the issue associated with housing officials of public sector.

When opening the ceremony devoted to the facility handover, Ruslan Aubekerov, NCOC N.V. Social Infrastructure Projects Manager said: “To date, the volume of direct investments under Kashagan Project aimed at improvement of the quality of population life exceeds a half-billion US dollars.  This facility is one of 169 projects with total amount of over 525 million USD that have been delivered by the Consortium in Atyrau and Mangystau Oblasts within last 17 years.  The delivered projects prove that we fulfil the undertaken commitments related to support of population of regions where the Company performs its activity”. 

Social infrastructure projects are essential for NCOC N.V. as it allows the Consortium to respond directly to the needs of local communities.  At the same time, considering a strong need in social projects in these regions, the Consortium is delivering several additional projects in Mangystau and Atyrau Oblasts. 

NCOC considers support of Akimats and local population for responding to the needs in high-quality social facilities as an important commitment and the Consortium feels honoured to provide assistance in this area.   The program is aimed at ensuring economic stability and welfare, supporting healthcare, education, culture and heritage, sports, and rendering assistance to the needy people. All projects are in line with NCOC N.V. strategic aims related to ensuring sustainable development. 

The ceremony was attended by Y. Tugzhanov, Mangystau Oblast Akim, government agencies and NCOC N.V. representatives.
