Atyrau, December 28, 2017: The Operator of the North Caspian Sea Project, North Caspian Operating Company N.V. (NCOC) handed over the new school to the residents of Bereke village in Atyrau Oblast constructed under NCSPSA Social Infrastructure Projects (SIP). Here, in Makhambet District, construction of new educational institutions is definitely a long-awaited event.

Appearance of new modern school is a true gift for the students of Bereke village located in Makhambet District. The settlement is growing rapidly, a lot of children live in the village, so parents waited edgily for educational institution to be open. NCOC totally funded both the construction of the school consisting of several three-storey blocks with classrooms and offices and a separate boiler house. The school for 250 students is located on 1.88 hectare territory. This is a small secondary school in terms of its functional organizational structure. The children will be studying in the new school based on full 11-year educational cycle.

The new building is equipped with all necessary infrastructure, most classrooms have interactive boards. The school also has computer classrooms. Physics/biology/chemistry classrooms are equipped with educational and laboratory equipment, informative and technical guides etc. Roomy foyer, light classrooms are organized in accordance with the requirements of educational standards.

During the handover ceremony Mr. Ruslan Aubekerov, Social and Infrastructure Projects Manager, emphasized that Consortium significantly contributed in local communities development in the course of the North Caspian Project implementation. Particularly, he mentioned that Consortium is happy to assist with improvement of the conditions necessary for education of young generation as well as to contribute in education development in the region. “Support of education, culture and sports are of particular importance as these projects mean taking care of well-being of younger generation of the region”.

Students, representatives of local authorities and NCOC participated in the event.
